i'm having a hard time deciding on what to make for next year's costume. b has told me i can't wear the straight jacket for a third year (i think he's wrong but, whatever) so i'm trying to start now to think about what i should do.

meanwhile, we have a gaming convention coming up in March so b has agreed to wear his sabretooth costume, since i spent so much time and money on it, but i feel like i ought to dress up too (not only so he doesn't feel totally out of place, but also so i can get attention too, damnit!) but i don't know if i should wear something to go with his sabretooth costume, or if i should go with a gaming character with which i'm more familiar.

but then maybe if i am going to spend so much time on the cosplay outfit for the convention, maybe i should just go ahead and wear that for Halloween too. but if i do that, will anybody get it? do i really want to spend hours trying to explain to drunken morons what i'm supposed to be?
