saturday i got the burda pencil skirt nearly done. all that seemed left was the lining so i could put in the walking slit.

yesterday i went to joann's and got some lining fabric, cut it out, stitched it together, and tacked it in place.

tonight i put the waistband back on, and stitched around the zipper. just needed to hem it and make the waking slit, but when i put it on, i discovered the lining is so tight, i can barely put the skirt on. i can't get it to fit properly over my curves (lining sticks to my skin) and there's no way i can sit down. i can hardly walk, it's so tight through the thigh area.

this is most problematic.
