forewarning would be nice

as our webmaster was walking out the door this afternoon, about 4 hours early, she said "you knew i was going to be gone for the rest of the week, right?" no, in fact i did not know.

this after i found out this morning that our boss is going to be gone all of next week.

why am i always the last to hear this? shouldn't you let me know you're leaving all of your projects on your desk for the next 2.5 days?
