they are much too small. there is no way they are going to fit using these measurements. not even kinda.

so i was thinking there are two solutions i could use. first, i could just make a strip of fabric to insert down each side. just use the pattern pieces as they are, plus an additional strip on each side. it might look kinda weird, though. i'm not sure if it would be "really cool" or "really lame". second, i could try to widen the pattern pieces, at least on the outer/hip side, by re-tracing them a little larger.

i'm leaning more towards the first method, since it's easier, but i don't know if it would look less authentic, or just maybe more "unique". guess it might be time to get a bunch of clothing labels printed up with my own name on them so i can tell people my stuff is made by a close personal friend who is some sure-to-be-famous up & coming young designer. you haven't heard of them yet but i assure you, some day they're gonna be BIG! the next zak posen!
