working out the bugs

part of my job is recording our in-house produced shows every week to post them on our web site. sure, i could ask our tv studio to convert them to a web friendly version as soon as they were done producing the show, then try to find a way to send it over to me, but it's a lot of work and time and this is easier/cheaper/faster.

one show, though, that i have had a problem with EVERY SINGLE WEEK is the new show starring our department head.

i need a haircut

several of them, in fact. mostly in the back. when i last got my hair cut, the lady made it too short in the front but the right length in the back. so now the front has grown out to the correct length, but the back is much too long. it's making me crazy. i think i might take scissors to it myself, it's annoying me so much.

still searching for Kevin Purdy and Josh Blanton. I have leads, but nothing is panning out. have phone numbers, but nobody returns my calls. found email addresses, but they're old. if anybody knows anything let me know.

i'm going blind

i suddenly have a bright spot in the middle of my vision as though i had been looking at a light bulb, but i haven't been. it's been there for several minutes and won't go away and i'm quickly developing a screaming headache from it.

it's right in the middle of my vision so i can't see what is right in front of me, so if i have typed this all poorly, i apologize. i can't see.

my work printer died today. it was old, it had lived a long, full life. unfortunately, now i have to share a printer with someone else. that means i'm going to have to get up and walk! oh the indignity...

deep breaths... must remember...

overnight between sunday and monday the kickball organization installed a new web site system for every division. they wiped our site, did away with ftp access, and put it all in templates. our regional rep, i assume, went back in and populated it a little with the basics, but the new site is a shell of what i had built. most of the information is simply gone, and of what is there, half of it is broken anyway.

i woke up in the middle of the night last night having panic attacks about it all. i'm really really upset.

the girl scouts showed up at the bar/restaurant yesterday after kickball, selling cookies.

how are we supposed to resist that? they have crack in them! we're already exhausted and weakened to their sinful goodness!

i bet those girls made a killing yesterday.

i did it! (sortof)

i had set a goal for myself this year to have enough pieces of clothing that i made that i could wear one thing every day. i now have 3 pairs of slacks and 2 dresses. sure, it doesn't give me a ton of variety, but i guess technically it fits the bill.

finished: brown plaid slacks

my third pair of slacks and the best by far. i couldn't be prouder of how they came out. i even went with a zipper fly this time instead of a button fly, and didn't screw it up!

i'm no wolverine

i scratched my finger on something at work several days ago. i honestly don't even remember what it was. it just seemed like a little scratch, but i've had a scab there for going on a week that looks like i really cut myself deep. it's swollen and red like it's infected, and it's still quite tender.

shouldn't this have healed by now?

brown pants

i finally got around to starting those brown pants yesterday. it always seems that when i start these projects i'm about two hours too late to finish them. all i have left to do is put the button on the waistband and hem the legs and they will be done.
