mastering the 1-handed shot
i have no idea who this guy is, but i have to give him credit for being able to take a really great picture of himself with the camera in his hand. when i try, my face always comes out distorted and pointy in all sorts of weird ways. he almost looks like someone else is actually taking the picture, and i'd think someone was, if not for the way his arm is pointing to the corner of every shot, and you can see the reflection in his glasses of him holding the camera.
maybe i just need longer arms.

you love me
I can tell you the trick to this: a wider angled lens. He's probably using a 10-20mm lens, which is perfect for this sort of thing. I have a 20mm, and I've gotten some pretty good arm's-length self portraits.
