suggestions?
bryan got this really awesome camera as a wedding present from my parents. it does all sorts of neato things and takes really great pictures. at least in bryan's hands (he's a much better photographer than i).
but since becoming the unofficial photographer and historian for the kickball division, i've become more accustomed to carrying around a small camera. i find myself more and more often wishing i had a camera handy to snap shots of little things here and there. things i find funny or neat or pretty or interesting or whatever. scenery, people, cars, animals...
my dad had offered to get me a little camera for just such a purpose, after buying bryan's very fancy one, and i turned him down at the time but now i'm thinking if the offer is still standing, i may take him up on it.

back in the beach
got back yesterday around noon. came home and passed out. woke up intermittently but basically slept through until about 9:45 this morning.
i thought i had requested to have off july 2-8, returning to work on the 9th. but after i bought our plane tickets, i discovered i had requested the 9th off as well. i told my boss i might come in on the 9th anyway, depending on how i felt, but it's not gonna happen.
instead, we need to mow the lawn, change the oil and spark plugs in my car, do a little grocery shopping, and bryan wants to go to the beach. as hot as it already is i'm thinking no beach. but if we don't mow the lawn soon, the city is going to fine us and my car is way overdue for some maintenance so those things need to happen.
probably should at least check in with my boss, though...

fly away home
yesterday bryan and i went to the wedding of my buddy, erik, and his SO of 10 years, trista. there were so many people there that we had gone to school with, it was like having our own 10 year reunion. it was so great seeing all those people that i had missed and most of them not seen in years.
hopefully we can keep in touch and see each other more often than once every 10 years.
