exceptions?

when someone is emotionally abusive to you, most people will tell you to cut ties with them. you don't need someone in your life who spends more time hurting you than helping you grow.

but what if that person is family? do the same rules apply?

what if that person has behaved so badly that they have nobody else in their lives but you? do you leave them to languish in their own self pity, opting the route of self preservation, and abandoning your own flesh and blood in their time of need? or do you put up with their abuse to try to show them that no matter what you will stick by them, no matter how bad their behavior, thereby being an enabler and telling them that it's ok to continue to hurt you?

too much fun

i recently broke down and got a flickr pro account. since then i have been uploading every picture i can get my grubby little hands on. even the ones i'm pretty sure nobody cares about.

i'm actually thinking of joining the 365 Days group since it's been so much fun watching valette go through it. probably on my birthday.
