breakthrough

this morning the scale read 129.8 lbs.

it's exciting, for sure. but since it's so close to 130 (it took the scale a couple seconds to decide whether it wanted to say 129.8 or 130) i'll still say i'm at 130 lbs. it's just good to know that i'm THAT close. half a pound more and i could have claimed 129. hopefully by the end of next week i'll be there.

but more than that, my body fat was at 28%.

i know i've been putting on muscle, so i don't expect the weight to go down too rapidly. but the body fat has been hovering between 28.5% and 29% for the last few weeks. granted the fat reads higher in the morning because it relies on water in the body to get an accurate reading and you get dehydrated over night. but still. my morning reading there should be around 25% or 26%, which will put my "real" body fat at around 21% which is right where i should be.

so not gonna happen

this weekend i went clothes shopping at the local consignment shops. at one of them, i tried on a few different skirts. one of the skirts i tried on was a mid-thigh length schoolgirl style skirt in denim. my first thought was "damn, i have some sexy legs!" my second thought was "bryan would NEVER let me out of the house in a skirt this short."

of course, i'm not sure i'd let myself out of the house in a skirt that short. maybe if i was about 5 or 10 years younger and single and looking for a good time, but not now.

instead i picked up a very cute knee-length, dark wash denim pencil skirt. omgsocute. can't wait to wear it on friday.

Panic! but not at the disco

i got a call this morning from eric, saying that bryan's shop was unlocked. it didn't look like the locks had been cut, but rather that bryan just forgot to put them on. the door was shut and latched, just not locked. unfortunately bryan was up late last night and there was going to be no waking him by phone. eric was already late for work so he couldn't go by our house and knock on the door, so i grabbed my spare keys to bryan's shop and ran out the door. on my way out to my car i called the property manager and had her put one of her locks on the door until i could get there and properly lock it.

it doesn't look like anything's missing, though i won't really know until bryan wakes up this afternoon and can check.
