where to start?

so, i've done a trial run at making pants, now it's time to try it "for reals". last night i went to joann's to see what they've got in the line of fabrics that would work and on the clearance rack i found...

oh yes, that's why...

bryan picked up Rock Band for christmas. in theory, this is a really great idea. good party game, something we can do together or when we have friends over, we both like music, we're both pretty good at video games...

except there's that whole "making music" part that seems to get in the way.

don't lie to me

why does joann.com insist they don't sell tweed? i know they do, i've SEEN it. they sell several different kinds, in fact. a wide array.

also, why does the number to the side of the link item, which would presumably list the number of entries one would find if one clicked on that link, not correspond to the actual search results served up when the link is clicked?

how come i can find a larger selection of actual joann items on amazon than on their own web site?

'cause i'm awesome

not only did i have time to entertain bryan's dad and step-mom saturday and sunday, get autumn to lion's arch, get ryan to the gates of kryta, go to a party monday night and another all day tuesday, i even managed to find time in there to make pants.

we did it

we got autumn all the way to lion's arch by sunday night. while we didn't get ryan all the way there, he's at least at the gates of kryta, which is within spitting distance of lion's arch. if we had had enough time to get him through that mission, he would have been there.

so they both got to at least see the wintersday decorations, the carolers, the snowball fights, the gigantic santa hats on the lion statues, and the grenchies stealing christmas presents from little kids. autumn attempted some of the quests but found them to be generally too hard for her at this stage in the game, but at least she got to see it all and participate in the final day ceremonies and we both got one each of the ice crown and wreath crown.
