just say it, i'm a freak
monday when i came in my boss asked to take a picture of my hand for an ad she was trying to make. she was getting pictures of different people's hands while holding a light bulb, for a brochure/ad on how the city is trying to conserve energy. i said sure, did my modeling, and went on my way.
just now she came to me and showed me the finished ad, and said "you have the smallest hands i have ever seen."

screw off, repeal day
flipping through the intarwebs today, i came across an ad for something called Repeal Day. apparently some alcohol company has taken it upon themselves to deem December 5th a holiday, in honor of the day that the amendment which prohibited alcohol consumption was repealed, and are encouraging everybody to just drink up!

i'm a superhero
i have been playing more guild wars with autumn and ryan lately and it's been really fun. when playing at the level where i should be, doing the quests i haven't yet done, i often die. a lot. i get beat up, pushed around, and generally told by the game that i'm not quite good enough yet. sure, i get things done, eventually, but it usually takes me a long time.
but hanging out with autumn and ryan, because they are just starting out, means i look nearly invincible. i'm spending time in the very low level areas, hardly taking any damage, and basically just walking through hordes of enemies that cause their n00b knees to shake. i know it can't last forever, so i'm enjoying it while i can.

*cue chorus of angels*
yesterday bryan not only changed out the last of the light switches in the house, but he also installed the new light fixtures in the utility room. with the splitters i got so each light fixture holds two bulbs instead of just one, it's like full daylight in there now.
slowly, we may yet shoo away those few lingering dragons.
