still going

finished painting the living room last night, started moving down the hallway. also, eric came over last night and removed two boards at the end of the hallway, where the work isn't finished, that somehow got moved while the glue was still wet. hopefully he'll be back some time soonish to finish installing the floor boards at the end of the hallway. then we just need 1/4 round and thresholds.

oh, and i stopped by home depot and picked up some really long wood screws to hang the doors. i just don't think that the regular short wood screws are going to hold those doors in, with as badly beat up as the door frames are. hopefully these longer screws will be able to grab onto some fresh wood.

that's gross

this morning i stopped by 7-11 to get my morning rush of caffeine, and decided to grab a breakfast sandwich while i was there. now, i made a suggestion to myself when i did this last week that i shouldn't get 7-11 breakfast sandwiches. they are generally pretty nasty and give me heartburn and an upset stomach later. but i'm not a morning person and don't think straight until close to noon, so against my own better judgment, i gave it a shot.

come out, come out, wherever you are...

last night i joined someone who said they were interested in skill capping a particular area. i happened to be doing the same myself and agreed to party. we went out of town and spent about 45 minutes looking for the specific boss i needed, but just couldn't find them. in that time, my partner was able to cap 2 skills that he didn't already have, but having already been out in this area several times, i have all but only a couple of them so none of the bosses we killed yielded anything for me.

i'd rather be nuking

i had an in-game conversation with someone this weekend about playing as a dervish. in guild wars, a dervish is a scythe-wielding character which both conjures elemental magic to their aid, and rushes in for melee combat. they showed me their build, i told them i didn't know if it was good or not, but as long as it worked for them that was cool. they said that they really liked playing dervish and felt it was a pretty powerful build. i told them i didn't care for it when i tried.
