tonight i will be trying to figure out a way to get the glue off the walls and get the walls re-primed so i can paint in there. would like to get that done asap so we can get the furniture officially moved in. i don't want to paint in there after the furniture has been moved in. too much work.

once we get the living room set up, we'll have room in the kitchen where the couches currently are, so we can move the stuff out of the game room and get that area properly set up. right now the computer is in the living room and the cables being all over the place makes me have little ocd fits. must... tidy... cords... eeeeeek!

got that horrid little wooden medicine cabinet thing off of the wall above the toilet last night. omg it smells like someone managed to climb up and pee on it. so gross. i got a metal and glass shelving unit thing that straddles the toilet but when i got it home to get it assembled, i found that all of the hardware was missing. d'oh! so tonight i have to take it back and see about getting something else. i'm bummed because it was on clearance and the last one of its kind. all the other styles they had there were too fancy looking. this one was just right. :( oh well. i'll find something else.

we discovered why the wall and floor around the tub keep rotting out... the shower curtain is about 5" too high, and bolted into the wall. i suggested just getting a second curtain rod, one of those twist-in-place ones, for the vinyl curtain on the inside, then we can leave the other one where it is for the outer curtain, but bryan doesn't like that idea. he'd rather move the one that's there, and replace the tiles that are drilled through in the current location. that doesn't sound easy or terribly practical to me, but whatever. i'd personally like to rip out all of that tile, have the whole wall re-built, and put in other tile. but it's not my house. and since bryan's mom just spent so much time and effort to put in that new tile i don't think she'd appreciate it much.

would like to replace the mirrored medicine cabinet with something a little more attractive, and the light with a fixture that's at least centered over the sink and mirror, but those can wait. i wish we could convince bryan's mom to hurry up and get that wood and sheetrock so we can get that wall built in the bathroom, so i can get it all painted. i'd hate to have to paint twice. guess we'll give her another couple weeks on that, and i'll just primer so at least the paint isn't peeling anymore.
