not yet

i had a dream last night that bryan came home early. i was so happy and excited and just as i threw my arms around him i woke up to find myself still alone in the dark with two more weeks to wait. :(

as of today bryan has been on the west coast for a month.

that was quick

tuesday night bryan's mom said she needed me to go by the house in the morning to drop off my key for the guy that would be going in to do some work on the kitchen wall. i hadn't even heard that she had officially chosen someone to do the job. i told her i wouldn't be able to because the house is the opposite direction from where i work and i'd end up being late.

when i got off work yesterday she called me as i was on my way to the house and said that she had let the guy in in the morning to do some work but she didn't know if he would still be there or not when i arrived.

stuff 'n' stuff

i was really looking forward to finally getting into a house because it meant a room where i could finally unpack my unicorns, if only a couple of them. i have boxes and boxes of things that i never unpacked when i moved out here because there just wasn't room for things as impractically girly as unicorn statues and pillows and posters and figurines and books and stickers and carvings and... you get the idea.

and yet, i know that we aren't likely to be in this house for more than a couple years and the thought of putting forth all the effort to unpack just so i can pack back up again makes me a little depressed.

i may unpack a couple things, like the little corner shelf that i have, and maybe one of the nightlights. perhaps i'll put one of the pillows on the futon, and hang the tapestry on the wall. but i guess the rest will have to remain boxed up until we can finally find a place of our own.

that reminds me, i gotta call about the house on salem road.

every little bit

i got to bed at 11 last night. i wanted to stay up later to watch "who wants to be a superhero" cause i'm a geek like that, but i really needed to sleep. i barely made it through the last half of ECW. i did manage to catch glimpses of cm punk beating johnny nitro in their "15 minutes of fame" match, which means that punk gets his title shot next weekend at summerslam. good for him. hope he wins. it's about damn time.

so anyway, i did get a little bit of sleep. still exhausted but that's what comes from months of insomnia and sleep deprivation. one night of 7 hours isn't going to make up for all the other nights of 5 hours, but it's a start.

whichever day it is, i'm deciding it's today, and i'm resting. no painting tonight. i'm exhausted and i'm in pain and i'm still covered in paint. i just want to sleep.

and maybe play some guild wars. :D
