bryan passed his exam this morning! yay!
he's got to check out of the hotel and run a couple errands then he'll get on the road and head up to portland. he should get there some time between 9pm and midnight, depending on how long it takes him to run his errands and get on the road.
i'm so excited to see him!!! yayayayayayayaayay!!!!!

perseverance
i believe that once the work is all completed our house will be ok. i believe that once it is painted, re-floored, and furnished, it will be nice and we will be happy. i believe that once all the cabinetry is repaired, the bath tub replaced, and the back wall of the house rebuilt it will not smell so bad. i believe that once we get some proper windows and actual insulation into the walls it will be comfortable and our bills will not be excessive.
i believe all of these things, and yet i still want to side with the people who see it and their initial reaction is "this house should be condemned and knocked down."

counting the minutes
tomorrow evening i, along with bryan's mom and brother, will be flying out to portland. i haven't been back there since autumn's wedding last may, and haven't seen any of my family since they came out here for our wedding last september.
and bryan has been in san francisco for two weeks, driving up with a friend on the same day we fly out. i can't wait to see him. i miss him like crazy. i don't sleep well when he's gone, sitting up until the middle of the night in case he calls, falling asleep on the couch watching tv most nights because the bed feels too big and empty without him. i can't wait to hug him and kiss him and tell him how much i love him.
then i will sleep, because we are arriving at nearly midnight and i will be quite tired.

oh that smarts
note to self:
jamming your delicate, naked thumb into a very solid brick wall at a high rate of speed hurts. a lot. and will likely leave said delicate, naked thumb quite bruised, swollen, and throbbing.
it's not a good time. don't do it again.
kthxbye
